Cyanotypes and Photograms

Creating a cyanotype

Unfortunatly, due to data corruption, I cannot show you the images I created.

Photogram

When creating my first photogram I did not really understand the concept behind it, but after 2 failed attempts my 3rd was a success in my eyes at least, the way photograms work are if the object placed on the sheet is flush and no light can get through it will appear white, using this knowledge i tried to create a variety of depths to my image, using the cog for the brightest part of my image and i placed a pane of glass on top of the while image to push everything down a little more, because it was glass light was still able to travel through unaffected, this way you can clearly see the feathers and the piece of cloth behind the cog.

In the editing stage of things, I wasn't happy with the colour photogram, it appeared quite dull when scanned in, so after cropping and levelling the image appropriately I kicked up the contrast and exposure so everything was very clear, and began to mess around with the hue, (again due to those images being corrupted I cannot show you these variants) until I found one I liked the most, the bright cyan you can see below.
